2.How to use EVISTA?

• The recommended dose for EVISTA is one 60 mg EVISTA tablet orally once a day.
Application route and method
• You can take the EVISTA tablet at any time of the day, on an empty or full stomach. It will help to take your medicine at the same time every day so that you don’t forget to take it.
• EVISTA tablet is taken orally. Swallow the tablets whole, with a glass of water if desired.
• Your doctor may also recommend that you take vitamin D and calcium.

EVISTA should not be used in patients with severe renal impairment.
EVISTA should be used with caution in mild to moderate renal impairment.

3. What are the possible side effects?
Like all medicines, there may be side effects in people who are sensitive to the substances contained in EVISTA.
Very common side effects (more than 1 in 10 patients):
• Hot flush (caused by vasodilation)
• Symptoms of the common cold
Common side effects (1 to 10 patients in 100):
• Leg contractions (cramps)
• Swelling in hands, feet and legs (peripheral edema)
• Gallbladder stone
Uncommon side effects (1 to 10 in 1000 patients):
• Increased risk of blood clot formation in the legs (deep vein thrombosis)
• Increased risk of blood clot formation in the lungs (pulmonary embolism)
• Increased risk of blood clot formation in the eyes (retinal vein thrombosis)
• Pain and redness in the skin around the vein (superficial vein thrombophlebitis)
Very rare (rare) side effects (less than 1 in 10,000 patients):
• The rash
• Digestive system disorders such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and stomach disorders
• Increase in blood pressure
• Decrease in the number of coagulation cells (Platelets) in the blood
• Blood clot formation in an artery (for example, stroke)
• Migraines and other headaches
• Symptoms such as pain, enlargement, tenderness in the breasts
In some rare cases, an increase in liver enzymes may occur during the use of EVISTA.
